In online media, Planet is a feed aggregator application designed to collect posts from the weblogs of poeple of an Internet community and display them on a single page. Planet runs on a web server. It creates pages with entries from the original feeds. The Bilboplanet want to be the tool that makes creation of planets accessible to anyone for their personnal use or for any community. The Bilboplanet is oriented on two main aims :
On one side, the Bilboplanet want to facilitate the use and the creation of a planet on the web. Being a free software (free as in free beer and as in free speech 
) everyone is able to create his own planet using the code of the Bilboplanet on his server. This will help the creation of little communities of bloggers and will give more audiance to the articles written by those little bloggers. On the other hand, the articles will be easier to find since they will be centralized on a single page with more relevance than a single blog.
The other challenge of the Bilboplanet is the organization and structuring of the content that it’s managing. Indeed the blogger wants to have more audiance to his articles, but the reader also need to find easily and quickly the most relevant information he needs on a specific subject. That’s why the Bilboplanet also want to help the reader and structure the data on the best possible way for him.
Organizing data and finding the most pertinent data is an important but tricky job and it has to be transparent ! That’s why the Bilboplanet will absolutely stay an open-source and free software for every person who want to look at how we do our work.
